Monterey Tan DG - Tan Decomposed Granite
Monterey Tan DG is a decomposed granite with soft beige, sandy tan, and subtle gray tones that give garden paths and outdoor spaces a natural, understated finish. A Natural Tan Finish for Your Landscape
Monterey Tan’s earthy color makes it easy to coordinate with existing landscape materials. It pairs beautifully with river rock, decorative boulders, dark mulch, wood planter boxes, and natural stone borders.
Use it to create a welcoming front garden path, connect a patio to raised beds, or define a seating space surrounded by greenery. The soft tan palette complements Mediterranean gardens, drought-tolerant planting designs, and traditional residential landscapes.
Our product photos show the material loose, held in a hand for a closer look at its texture, and used in a finished landscape pathway.
Decomposed Granite for Paths & Courtyards
Monterey Tan DG combines fines with small aggregate particles that can pack together when properly installed and compacted. This gives landscape paths a more closely knit surface while preserving the natural granular appearance of decomposed granite.
The finished result depends on site preparation, the underlying base, drainage, moisture, and compaction. Plan the installation around your site conditions and intended use to achieve a suitable pedestrian surface.

Planning Your Material Order
Estimate your quantity using the project’s square footage and planned installation depth, allowing for compaction. Request a sample if you are matching an existing DG path or comparing colors alongside pavers, stone, or other landscape materials.
Natural color and texture may vary between loads. Moisture, lighting, and compaction affect the material’s appearance, and loose DG may look different from a finished surface. Product photos are for reference.
